Description
Rapid Optimizer is an all-in-one performance and reliability toolkit for WooCommerce stores, built for shop owners everywhere β not just on one host or in one country.
A store can look perfectly fine on the homepage while checkout is broken, a payment gateway has stopped responding, an SSL certificate has expired, or order confirmation emails are silently failing. Most uptime monitors only confirm that a URL returns some response β they don’t know whether a customer can actually complete a purchase. Rapid Optimizer does.
π©Ί Store Health & Checkout Monitoring
- Automatic, scheduled checks (every 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes) for: homepage, shop page, checkout page rendering (not just HTTP 200), cart/add-to-cart AJAX, payment gateway availability, SSL certificate validity & expiry, product image loading, the REST API, and order email delivery.
- Everything runs as a local loopback request from your server to itself via WP-Cron β no third-party service, no API keys, no data ever leaves your site.
- Instant email alerts the moment something that was working stops working, and a recovery email when it’s fixed.
- Per-check 24-hour and 7-day uptime history, plus a rolling log of every check run.
- A small admin-bar indicator shows store status (π’ / π‘ / π΄) from anywhere in wp-admin.
π§ Email Deliverability Check
One of the most common (and invisible) WooCommerce failures: orders are placed, but confirmation emails never arrive. Rapid Optimizer:
- Tracks when WooCommerce last actually sent a customer order-confirmation email and an admin new-order email.
- Warns if orders are coming in but no confirmation email has gone out recently.
- Checks for SPF and DMARC DNS records on your sending domain (common causes of emails landing in spam).
- Detects whether a dedicated SMTP plugin is handling delivery.
- One-click “send a real test email” button.
β‘ Performance Modules
- Image Optimizer β convert uploads to WebP, strip EXIF data, lazy-load, add
fetchpriority="high"to the above-fold product image. - Critical CSS β inline critical CSS per page type and defer the rest.
- Page Cache β file-based full-page cache for shared hosting, auto-purged on product/order changes.
- Cart Fragment Optimizer β removes the per-page WooCommerce cart AJAX request on non-cart pages.
- Database Optimizer β weekly cleanup of revisions, orphaned meta, expired transients and sessions.
- Font Optimizer β self-hosts Google Fonts with
font-display: swap. - Checkout Booster β defers non-critical checkout scripts, debounces shipping recalculation.
- REST API Optimizer β caches shipping responses, optionally restricts/strips unused REST endpoints.
- Core Web Vitals (RUM) β collects real LCP, INP and CLS data from your visitors.
- Smart Preloading β prefetches your store’s own checkout, category, and product URLs based on the page a visitor is on, so the next click feels instant. Same-origin only; it never contacts a third-party domain.
- WooCommerce Bloat Remover, HPOS support, file-based object cache, Cloudflare integration, and a 3-way Migration Hub (Shopify WooCommerce, WordPress WordPress).
Privacy
The Store Monitor performs HTTP requests from your own server to your own site to test that checkout, cart, and other pages load correctly. No data is sent to Rapid Optimizer or any third party. The SPF/DMARC check performs a standard public DNS lookup on your store’s sending domain. Alert emails are sent using your site’s normal wp_mail() configuration, to the address you configure.
External services
This plugin connects to the following third-party services. All of them are tied to a feature you explicitly enable β none run or send data by default.
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) β used only if you enable the Font Optimizer module. When a font used by your theme/plugins is first requested, the plugin downloads the font file(s) once from Google’s servers and caches them locally so your visitors’ browsers load the fonts from your own site afterwards (this improves privacy compared to loading fonts live from Google on every visit). No visitor data is sent to Google as part of this β only the plugin’s own server-side download request. Google APIs Terms of Service Β· Google Privacy Policy
Cloudflare API (api.cloudflare.com) β used only if you enable the optional Cloudflare integration and enter your own Cloudflare API token and zone ID under Rapid Optimizer Cloudflare. Used to read your zone’s current cache settings and to purge the Cloudflare cache when your store’s content changes. No visitor data is sent β only your site’s own cache-configuration requests, authenticated with the token you provide. Cloudflare Terms of Service Β· Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Resource Hints module (off by default) β if you turn this on under Settings, the plugin adds preconnect/dns-prefetch hints for external domains it detects are already registered by your active theme/plugins. It only reacts to scripts/styles already present on your site β it never adds a hint for a service you don’t otherwise use, and it never adds a hint for any payment gateway domain under any circumstances. The domains it recognises and may add a hint for, if and only if that service is already loaded on your site, are: Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com β see Google links above), Google Analytics / Tag Manager (www.google-analytics.com, www.googletagmanager.com) β Google APIs Terms of Service Β· Google Privacy Policy, and Meta/Facebook Pixel (connect.facebook.net) β Meta Platform Terms Β· Meta Privacy Policy. In every case this only opens a network connection slightly earlier; it does not send any visitor data itself.

FAQ
-
Does this send my store’s data anywhere?
-
No. All monitoring checks are loopback requests from your server to your own site. Nothing is sent to Rapid Optimizer’s servers.
-
Will the frequent checks slow my site down?
-
Each check is a lightweight HTTP request that runs in the background via WP-Cron, separate from your visitors’ page loads. The default 30-minute interval is suitable for almost every store; only increase frequency if you need faster alerting.
-
What happens if WP-Cron isn’t running reliably?
-
Checks rely on WP-Cron, which runs on page visits by default. On very low-traffic sites, consider setting up a real cron job to call
wp-cron.phpperiodically (this is a standard WordPress recommendation, not specific to this plugin). -
Does this replace my payment gateway’s own monitoring?
-
No β it complements it. Rapid Optimizer confirms gateways are enabled and configured on your store; it does not place test transactions.
-
I don’t want one of the checks (e.g. SSL) β can I turn it off?
-
Yes. Each check can be individually enabled or disabled under Rapid Optimizer Store Monitor Monitoring Settings.
-
What happens to my data if I uninstall the plugin?
-
Deleting the plugin (not just deactivating) removes all of its options, scheduled tasks, custom database tables, and its cache directory.
-
How do I get support?

Changelog
1.0.3

1.0.2
- External Services now lists a direct Terms of Service and Privacy Policy link for every payment gateway domain the Gateway Preconnect and Resource Hints modules can contact (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Google Pay).
1.0.1
- Fixed AJAX action names not matching their registered handlers (some buttons and the Store Monitor settings form were not saving/working).
- Smart Preloading no longer preconnects to payment gateway domains by default; that stays opt-in under Checkout Booster only.
- Documented the Resource Hints module’s third-party domains (Google, Meta, payment gateways) in External Services below.
- Customer/order exports and migration packages are now stored in a protected, non-public location and served only via an authenticated, nonce-verified download link.
