Add .html Extension to Pages

Description

This plugin adds .html extension to pages in WordPress. Adding .html extension on posts is easy as it can be updated from permalinks, but by default it is not possible on pages.

Useful in following cases:

  • You want to convert your static site to WordPress but don’t want to change .html extension in URLs.
  • Want to append .html extension to end of all page in WordPress.
  • You already added .html to post URLs and want to keep similar URL structure.

Installation

From your WordPress dashboard

  1. Visit ‘Plugins > Add New’.
  2. Search for ‘Add .html Extension to Pages’.
  3. Activate ‘Add .html Extension to Pages’ from your Plugins page.

From WordPress.org

  1. Download ‘Add .html Extension to Pages’.
  2. Upload the ‘add-html-extension-to-pages’ directory to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory, using your favorite method (ftp, sftp, scp, etc…).
  3. Activate Add .html Extension to Pages’ from your Plugins page.
