Change Admin Email

Description

This plugin allows an administr’ator to change the “site admin email”, without sending a confirmation email from the server. This can be useful for testing purposes, localhost setups, or any other situation where outbound email is disabled. A new “feature” of WordPress 4.9 is that the administr’ator cannot change the site admin email without outgoing email setup on the server. This plugin restores the admin’s ability to change this setting without sending a confirmation email. Note that the “site admin email” is the global email used for admin purposes on the site. It is the “from” address when the site sends an email. The “site admin email” may be different from the administr’ator’s personal user email, which is associated with the administr’ator’s user account.

Usage

Once activated, an administr’ator can change the admin email from the Settings >> General page.

Installation

Clone or copy the file into your plugins directory, then activate the plugin from the admin menu. No other settings required.

I couldn't change my admin email for whatever reason and this app changed that. Simple instructions: install the plugin and send test email from your settings. As easy as that! 👍

Perfect solution, just change the email and click "test email". That's it!

my wordpress is not sending the confirmation emails and it bothers for a long time. My host technician said it is a cache issue and i finally fount out that the admin user email has nothing to do with the admin email. thanks to the wpbeginner's article, i finally changed my email without the confirmation. Damn, what is wrong with WP.
